Week 10 - My Recommendations for things to do in Pontianak.

Pontianak is the capital of West Borneo, founded by Syarif Abdurrahman Alkadrie in 23 Oktober 1771 / 24 Rajab 1181 Hijriah. Syarif Abdurrahman. Pontianak is located precisely on the equator, hence it is The city center is actually less than 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of the equator.

Pontianak got its name from a local horror character. Legend said that when Abdurrahman Al-Qadrie arrived on the place, he was disturbed by a female poltergeist, described by locals as Kuntilanak. Al-Qadrie was able to repel the ghost by firing a massive cannon. Later, he decided to establish a city nearby and named it after the ghost.

So, my recommendation you do in Pontianak is went to Tugu Khatulistiwa Tugu Khatulistiwa opens everyday and closes about four thirty in the afternoon. Inside the monument, there is a tiny museum showcasing the history and science behind the monument.

A Dutch geographer, in 1928, found Pontianak as the sole 'urban setting' right on the line of the Equator in the world. The monument was built with a Dutch word, Evenaar (means Equator), engraved on the arrow. Annually, shadowless sunlight occurs here, as sun reaches zenith on Vernal Equinox (March 21-23) and Autumnal Equinox (September, 21-23).

Save the date so that you can plan your trip accordingly.

Little known trivia, Tugu Khatulistiwa is not exactly on the equator. The modern and more accurate calculations have shown that the equator is slightly southwards, located between the monument and river-banks.

Week 9 - It’s your last meal on earth – what do I choose?

If this case really happen on earth, the first option I think I really dying soon. The second option is then I have to run away from the earth and live the other planet then I died soon too because there is no food left, so I really don’t know what happen next if this case really happen, Am I really dying sooner ? Or am I invented something a meal for all the people cause there is no left meal for human ? Or human getting extinct and the alien rule this earth ? hemm, sound so scary.

Actually, I'm going to be confused to choose yummy food aplenty, especially in Indonesia (this case). There is so much food that I like such satay, soto, fried rice, and many yummy food. But If I choose one, I choose meat stew (Semur daging Sapi) made by my mom as my last food. Why meat stew really special for me ?

The first love meal that I like when I was I child is meat stew. When I was child, I very choosey at meal. Because meat stew that my mom made is really tasty from the spices like soy sauce, coriander, garlic, onion etc. The meat is really tender in my mouth, so I don’t have to chew it all along. Sometimes, my mom added some potato in meat stew, therefore I eat meat stew without rice.

So, that’s all the explanation for this case. I hope you like this post thanks for reading

Task Resume of Volare Chit Chat

On thursday, December 1 2016, I'm listening radio volare fm. I choose to listening at the website http://www.volarefm.com/ .
This radio program entitle Volare Chit Chat has 4 segment. Each segment such as #howtoasayit, #billingual, #idioms, and #english, please!. the first segment i didn't listening because i had to escort my sister in her tutor. So, i just heard the second, third, and forth segment

the second segment is idiom. Idiom is the combination word have different meanings, but when the word put together will form a new meaning that is different from the original meaning of the word. For example :After years of blood, sweat, and tears, Timmy finally earned a college degree. In this idiom using blood, sweat, and tears have meaning struggle and hard work in doing something difficult.

The third segment is billingual news. about seventy metre biscuit dunk by Simmon Barry (24 y.o). He dunked the biscuit in a cup of tea. the story is very awesome for me because he could do that thing and exercise and have that big dedication.

The forth segment is longest segment, there are two guest Odi and Arai (I don't think i true to spell their name). This segment talking about the idols worship. this segment was my favorite because it talking about the daily life struggle people that have nowdays like a worship an idol, such a stalker, plastic surgery, very fanatic about their fans, the impact of being famous for them and their fans etc.

In this segment, Miss Dini told that she worshipping about Westlife, Fidiya says that she adore Benedict Cumberbatch and boxer from Russian. Odi says that he likes the music of Maliq D' Essential, Netral and Sid. When Array was young he told that he like band of One Direction.

The last segment i have a lesson that how terrible the impact of worship and the positive side being worship famous people.

Week 8 - A letter to past and future me

Okay, this post remind me about the movies ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘ About Time’ or maybe ‘Doraemon’. I guest. In that movies they can turn back the time or even go to future. But, if they go to the future or the past maybe there is consequence about their doing last time.

A letter to my self in past 10 years ?

In that year (2006), I still 8 years old. That year was my first that I have a little sister. I really love her. I grateful to Allah that time I have a little sister like her. And that year I was a kid so I don’t really remember what I did at that age -__- but at that age I remember one dream at that time, which has a tree house. i think that age, I still haven’t thought about what I do in the future.

Hello, my future 10 years later. In 2026 I hope still alive and I can reach my achievement like fluent at so many language, can umroh with your family together, doing what you really into it. And don’t forget to Allah and your family raise you like now. And don’t ever sigh or complain what have you done.
